Not sure if it helps, but cPanel does this - it'll interchange
punctuation for the '@' - try - and = and see if they work. If so, they
may well be using exim (which is the cPanel mail agent), but I'm not
sure how this is setup. Consult your nearest cPanel server's exim.conf
for further details, or I can do some grepping for you if you're really
interested ;)
