I think you miss his point which is (something like) non-free software
denys you your rights. You shouldn't give comfort and solice to those
who choose to deny you your rights.
It's unlikely you have a difficulty with this argument when it refers to
politics in general - RMS argues that it applies to sw too.
Your other points follow really. If the only way you can survive is by
being a slave then a slave you must be.
