hi all, i am sure that came up recently, i've got a couple of monitors i want to get rid off. they are really crappy so i guess they should really get scrapped. are there any place where i can take old monitors for recycling? cheers magi

Recycling - i don't know. But you might want to donate them to charity. If you contact Thrift Shop 2 in Edinburgh
(http://tinyurl.com/2ahqs) they can point you to the Thrift Warehouse in Leith that seem to take in a lot of computery things.

If that's too far you might find another willing to take them at http://www.on-lineedinburgh.com/matrixCharityShops.asp but be aware many charity shops refuse electrical equipment as they have no means (or budget) to safety certify them.

There may be other national charities that ship old hardware abroad to less technologically up-to-date lands where they can be still be useful, but i'm not aware of who or where they might be.

Hope that helps anyway,

Tom
