Oops, didnt realise this had been discussed here before, nor that the
Smoothwall peeps
are now a nice lovey dovey bunch, apologies to all those who were
offended. Like I said
YMMV and clearly has. Haven't tried monowall, but looks promising.

diverge. Smoothwall is backed by a commercial company wheres IPCop is
community developed.
And? A variety of open source projects are backed by commercial
entities, what difference does it make?

*sigh* I'm tired of trying to correct people on this point. The
SmoothWall community is just as warm, friendly and first class as any
other - a cursory visit to our forums should prove this point. I wish
people wouldn't use one-to-two year old opinions when discussing a
project which they admit they have no first hand experience of :(
