RE: [edlug] Install Day?

I'm not sure I can offer Net Resources for this one, just too busy at the moment I'm afraid!

On the bright side, I think the Install Days would benefit from developing the install surgeries + talks/demos format we did last time into a larger more accessible venue with wider and more effective marketing.

It would be a great platform for input from the Advocates group.

Good luck with it. I'll definitely be there to lend a hand.

Regards,

P

	Hey,

Yeah i could help out. My main distro's are slackware/gentoo (not
suggesting a stage1 tarball install here, unless of course they have
some really big iron like a quad opteron mmm...) but could also spice
things up with a bit of FreeBSD? Just for a balance if its for open
	source in general.

Speeches, i could rant about why FreeBSD is great although 2.6 linux
looks even more promising. Thats probably too boring for joe punter
though. I could do a "linux in the home" presentation, just do a case
study of everything i've put in my old man's home. (wireless
laptops/pdas, X10 light switches, stereo system connected as well,
firewall, router, sharing modem/broadband, the other machine as the
media box under the TV, free to air digital built in, rip/burn dvds, no
	noise etc.)

Just if it would be on topic though.

	Regards,
	Craig
