[edlug] dynamic dns, domain names, and other shenanigans

I have a dynamic dns account - and I have just registered a domain name (.co.uk).

I wish to marry them (or find a better way) - but what is the best approach? The options seem to be ...

a: wait until the minimum 60 days expire, and move over to the custom DNS service provided by the dynamic dns service provider (currently dyndns.org) for $24 per annum, which would maintain the dns entry and allow my ip to roam.

b: move my ISP to one that offers a static, and then register that - (but with whom and how?)

c: just use the free forwarding supplied with the domain name registrar.. but a bit crude.

a bit of a grey area for me.. has anyone found anything more elegant, robust, or effective?
