Hi,
There is a series of three excellent articles by the author of Keychain
about getting the most out of SSH passwordless authentication.
The first article explains the concepts, the second article explains how
to use keychain effectively, and the third about ssh-agent forwarding.
Unless you find yourself having to log into multiple machines from one
(or maybe two) desktops, then the third article is probably less
relevant.
Well worth the read and persevering to get it set up properly.
