Good. Half way there.

Sorry I think I've fluffed this request. I can get the unit working as a
cd or dvd reader, but I'd like to get it working as a writer as well.
I've recently got a Matrox 120Gb hd (primary slave - though it's hard to
tell - another story, over whisky) and I'd like to back up my current
data before fiddling with configurations and distributions, hence I'd
like to write it to cd. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to set up the
parts needed to achieve this. As I say I realise that I need to use
ide-scsi, but after that I'm as a loss. Is there some alias between the
drive and device?
I've got the Linux Doc Project from Linux Format Mag if that helps.

ADDENDUM
Anyone see the article in Linux User & Developer about the parallel port
LCD screen? Nifty huh? Just so happens I have a spare ISA slot & a card
floating around. Found Maplin don't have the LCD units anymore, but RS
do (rswww.com) and more besides.
(check out www.lcdproc.org if you didn't see it)
