I use both products. IPCOP at home, SW in the office, VPN'd together. In my
opinion the installation screens, instructions, options and process are
exactly the same for both. As for the GUI, SW changed the look for 2.0 and it
is far nicer than before. As a result I think SW beats IPCOP in the eye-candy
department. Also SW has help screens; IPCOP doesn't. Useful if you want to
remind yourself of what an option does. However some info provided on IPCOP
pages is better than SW - a counter for total firewall hits for example. And
finally, IPCOP supports the pulsar adsl pci card - which is why I am using it
at home.
