LOL. I'm staying out of it this time. I just want to be told where I'm drinking once a month.

Perhaps a relational database model would work; one set of relations being the
EdLUG members who physically meet up, including their preferences for pub/not
pub, and their preferences among pubs. The other set of relations (tuples)
would be the pubs, with their characteristics of size, ambience, smokiness,
location, draught lager etc.
Do any database wizards want to have a go? ;-)

Can it also be expressed as hollywood Tavern is in a subset of the set
pubs. The subset being the Standing order, The World, and the
Hollywood tavern. This subset being the prefered locations of the
meeting places for the subset of Edlug subscribers who like to meet in
the pub, Eg EDLUG(pub).

Hi,
The Edlug website refers to both the Standing Order and The World
for the meeting location. Surely a typo ?
State of flux rather than typo. Holyrood Tavern is the most likely
venue...
The way this comes out, it sounds like Holyrood Tavern is the normal
to the plane formed by the Standing Order and The World.
That is all.
