[edlug] CCMRA music distribution

In case anyone is interested, it seems to be possible to
install the CCMRA music workstation distribution

  http://www-ccrma.stanford.edu/planetccrma/software/

on top of a reasonably bleeding edge fedora setup without special
tragedy. This gives you a lot of software of interest to musos.

The key bit of it is a kernel (2.4.24) hacked for ALSA and
some low-latency scheduling stuff.
uname -r gives 2.4.24-1.ll.rhfc1.ccrma

I've an ancient functioning PnP VIBRA sound-blaster card going
free, if anyone wants it.

Hank
