RE: [edlug] LPI Certification advice
I have not taken LPIC1 myself, but have researched quite a lot of materials with a view to rolling out LPI training at Net Resources. In my opinion the LPI certification is solid and becoming increasingly well regarded. It's not easy to pass, 57% success rate on LPIC1 I believe.
There are some good free materials about http://www.linuxtraining.co.uk/download/ worth a look.
Worth checking that any materials you do go for, adequately cover the revised exam objectives (August 2002) http://www.lpi.org/p-index.html
Regards,
P

I passed the LPI 101 recently. Like you I had a few years Unix experience, which helped.
I used this book:
https://www.compman.co.uk/cgi-win/browse.exe?ref=485515
Which is well organised and tells you which chapters you need to study for the 101 and which for the 102.
Good luck!
