Re: [edlug] wireless cards

Hi James,

Try the dabs value 11Mb/s PCMCIA cards.
They are made by Actiontec and use the PRISM2 wireless chipset which is
really well supported.
I'm not too sure about the chipset for the 22Mb/s version.

Some sites/pages to look at:
http://www.actiontec.com - manufacturer site
http://dabs.com/products/prod-info.asp?quicklinx=178Y - dabs product page
http://www.linux-wlan.org/index.html - Linux WLAN project
http://prism2.unixguru.raleigh.nc.us/ - precompiled WLAN RPMS for Redhat

The Dabs 11Mbs PCI PRISM2 cards have a poor built-in antenna that can be
hacked off and replaced with a reverse-SMA connector in order that
external antennas can be used.
See http://consume.andylaurence.co.uk/actiontec.shtml for more fun.

Best of luck.

Regards,
Cammy.
