[edlug] Apache stream forwarding

I've got a couple of webcam streams being served by motion on a 
workstation on  my internal network.  I've got apache serving web pages 
to the outside world on a gateway system.

Is it possible to get apache to serve the cam streams without exposing 
the motion web servers directly to the internet?  i.e. sort of acting as 
an intermediary. How could one do this?
