[edlug] X Question - running on different machine

I have 2 machines, let's call them machine A and machine B.

On Machine A, I run an X Server. It uses GDM to run X.

I want to run the window manager, plus the desktop on machine B, using 
the X server on machine A.

At the moment, I can run Machine B's individual X apps on machine A by 
starting a display on machine A, starting a window manager, running an X 
shell, permitting the connection by running xauth, telnetting to Machine 
B, exporting the DISPLAY variable, etc. But basically I want Machine B 
to treat Machine A's X server as its own.

Any thoughts?
