I think it's about right, most of the 'Junior' Sysadmin roles I've seen recently are in a broad £20k-£25k range, 'Senior' £28k-£35k, top end architecture design etc roles will top £35k-£45k+, so this one looks about right for the current market and climate.

It's difficult to be precise, so this is just my opinion based on being fairly close to the recruitment sector, but we are certainly not seeing the salaries of c1999, and I think generally companies are asking more for less salary these days.

Just out of interest (no, I'm not interested in the job), is that the going rate for that set of skills in the marketplace currently?

Working in the public sector, I seem to have lost track of the current market value for Unix skills.
