[edlug] Memory help needed

Today, I bought some memory and a 3-button serial mouse at the Pass IT 
on sale.  When I took my computer apart to install the memory, I 
discovered that the memory was the wrong type and will not fit the slots 
on my computer.  (They were selling 16Mb DIMMs for £5 each, so I bought 
2; my computer is a Compaq PII 300)  Does anyone know what memory I 
require ?  Does it need older SIMMs, or something unique to Compaq ?
